PhD Scholarship Program for the Promotion of Demographic Training and Research in Sub-Saharan Francophone Africa (AFFSA).

 

This scholarship program was funded through a grant of over 650 000 dollars from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation of New York (USA) to Professor Barthélemy Kuate Defo. The main objective of these scholarships was to provide advanced training involving advanced methods of analysis and research on the health issues on African populations over time and space and to truly strengthen the research capacity of PhD students on population challenges facing Francophone Sub-Saharan countries in the 21st century.
